Smile, say a polite "No thank you," and walk straight past them. Head directly inside the terminal building to the official glass ticket booths. Instead of guessing which bus is decent, look for these reliable operators. They will drop you off at major coastal points like Bai Chay station or Tuan Chau Port.

• Hung Duc Bus (Best for Daytime Travel): They run about 12 trips a day from the My Dinh station between 6:30 AM and 7:15 PM. You can choose between a standard 44-seat sleeper or a more comfortable 16-seat VIP van. Tickets run from 160,000 to 260,000 VND. They take the new highway, so it is a very fast trip.

• Dai Phat Bus (Best from Gia Lam): Leaving from the Gia Lam station at 8:50 PM, this 40-seat sleeper provides free bottled water and fresh blankets. It is a highly comfortable ride for about 220,000 VND.
