One team, two cultures — Bakersville India and Truly Voyage come together to kick off an unforgettable journey in Vietnam!
A Warm Vietnamese Welcome
From the moment 72 Bakersville team members stepped off Vietjet Air - a popular Airlines from Vietnam, the atmosphere was electric. Dressed in graceful Vietnamese áo dài, the Truly Voyage team greeted guests with smiles and open hearts.
Before any sightseeing, the group gathered for a signature moment — a banner photo with Bakersville on one side, Truly Voyage on the other — a joyful snapshot marking the start of an unforgettable experience.
Even the journey into town became part of the fun: with ice-breaker quizzes, Indian-Vietnamese music, and mini games filling the bus with laughter, bonds began forming from the very first mile.
The journey begins! Bakersville India touches down in Da Nang — greeted with smiles, warmth, and a banner that marks the start of four unforgettable days with Truly Voyage.
🌇 Day 1 – City Sights & Sunset Surprises
After a delicious North Indian buffet breakfast at Spirit of India and VIP early check-in at Wyndham Da Nang Golden Bay, the team explored the vibrant heart of Da Nang.
Da Nang is known as the “city of bridges”, and we visited two of its most iconic: the romantic Love Bridge, covered in love locks, and the dazzling Han Bridge, which lights up the river each night. The highlight? Watching the Dragon Bridge breathe fire and water under the night sky — a thrilling display of local legend and modern design.
As night falls in Da Nang, all eyes turn to the city’s most iconic landmark — the Dragon Bridge, a modern marvel infused with deep traditional meaning. In Vietnamese culture and mythology, the dragon is one of the most sacred creatures, symbolizing power, prosperity, and protection. Once the emblem of emperors and royal authority, the dragon now stretches proudly across the Han River, chosen by Da Nang’s city leaders to bring peace, luck, and happiness to all its people.

Just steps away from the fiery strength of Dragon Bridge, the Love Bridge offers a softer charm — where couples leave behind heart-shaped locks as promises, and the river quietly carries their wishes beneath Da Nang’s glowing skyline.

There was once much discussion about which direction the dragon should face — East or West. In the end, it was decided: the dragon would face East, toward the sea, in a powerful gesture known as “Dragon Returning to the Sea”, symbolizing abundance, renewal, and the flow of good fortune.
Every weekend evening, when the dragon breathes fire and water into the night sky, it’s not just a spectacle — it’s a celebration of heritage, hope, and the strength of a city moving forward.
Of course, no visit to Da Nang’s famous Dragon Bridge would be complete without a few laughs — and our tour guide made sure of that. At one point, he turned to the group and asked with a straight face, “So… what gender do you think the dragon is?” Silence. Then came the follow-up: “Well, if the dragon breathes fire from its mouth… what do you think will happen?”
Cue instant laughter across the bus — we’ll leave the punchline to your imagination, but let’s just say, from that moment on, nobody looked at the Dragon Bridge quite the same way again.
🏞️ Day 2 – Ba Na Hills: A Mountain of Magic
Rising into the clouds, Ba Na Hills feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Located 1,400 meters above sea level, this hilltop resort dazzles with its cool climate, record-breaking cable cars, and the enchanting Golden Bridge — held aloft by massive stone hands reaching from the earth. The Golden Bridge of Da Nang stretches like a glowing ribbon of silk across the sky — priceless, radiant, and serene. Legend says it is a gift from the God of the Mountain, who gently lifts it with his stone hands to offer humanity a path between earth and heaven.
The group explored the French Village, with its cobblestone lanes, castles, and gardens, creating a sense of European wonder in the middle of Vietnam.
Lunch at Bharata Restaurant provided the perfect recharge, followed by a golden-hour return to Da Nang.
Framed by the iconic hands of the Golden Bridge, the Bakersville group shares a moment of awe and unity high above the mountains of Ba Na Hills.
🌊 Day 3 – From Waves to Lanterns
In the morning, it was time to relax and play at My Khe Beach — often named one of the most beautiful beaches in Asia. With soft white sand, gentle waves, and endless sky, the team enjoyed swimming, laughter, and group photos on the shore.
Later that day, we journeyed to Hoi An Ancient Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with golden walls, colorful lanterns, riverside charm, and centuries-old architecture. As the sun set, the streets glowed, and the team wandered among floating candles and glowing silk, taking in the magic of Vietnam’s most romantic town.

🧭 Day 4 – Coastal Wonders & Farewell
The final day of the journey brought a quieter kind of wonder — one rooted in tradition and spirituality. The group visited Son Trà Peninsula, home to the tranquil Linh Ứng Pagoda, where Da Nang’s most iconic spiritual figure resides.
Standing tall at 67 meters, the majestic Lady Buddha statue faces the sea with her back resting against the mountains. One hand forms the Samādhi seal, symbolizing meditative clarity, while the other cradles a vase of nectar, as if gently blessing all those who seek peace — from devoted visitors to the fishermen drifting across the distant waters.
The group gathers for a memorable photo at Linh Ứng Pagoda, where mountains, sea, and spirit meet in perfect harmony.
More than just a religious site, Linh Ứng is a place of calm, offering sweeping views of the ocean and the city below. It's where the group paused, breathed deeply, and quietly took in the beauty of Vietnam’s spiritual landscape — a perfect moment of reflection before the journey home.
