🗓️ 2-Day Pu Luong Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Hanoi ➜ Pu Luong – Villages & Waterfalls
6:40–7:00 AM | Pick-Up
Depart Hanoi by comfortable bus or van. We’ll pick you up from your hotel in the Old Quarter or nearby. Relax and watch the countryside roll by as we head towards Pu Luong, stopping briefly in Hoa Binh for refreshments.
11:30 AM | Arrival & Lunch
Arrive in Pu Luong Nature Reserve. Enjoy a delicious lunch and check in to your homestay or lodge for a short rest.
🚶♂️ 1:30 PM | Explore Don & Uoi Villages
Travel by motorbike or car to Don Village, meeting friendly Thai locals and exploring their traditional stilt houses. Trek onwards to Uoi Village and Lan Ngoai Brocade Village, where artisans weave beautiful textiles passed down through generations.
💦 3:00 PM | Hieu Waterfall Adventure
Continue to Hieu Waterfall. Trek about 800 meters to reach the cascading falls hidden within the forest. Feel the cool spray and swim in natural pools beneath three waterfall tiers – an invigorating way to unwind in nature.
🍽️ 7:00 PM | Dinner & Culture
Return to your homestay for a hearty dinner. If traveling in a large group, enjoy a cultural exchange with traditional music and dance performed by local Thai villagers. Overnight in Pu Luong.

Wake up early to watch the mist drift over emerald rice terraces – a sight you won’t forget.

Stroll through this vibrant local market, sampling fresh produce and picking up handmade souvenirs.

Visit Cham Stream to see its iconic bamboo waterwheels and embark on a peaceful kayaking or bamboo rafting adventure through serene countryside waters.

Board your bus back to Hanoi, arriving around 6:30 PM at your hotel in the Old Quarter.

Day 1: Hanoi ➜ Pu Luong
Similar to Day 1 of the 2-day itinerary, with lunch, village visits, Hieu Waterfall swimming, and a traditional Thai massage in the evening before dinner and cultural exchange.
Day 2: Waterwheels & Transfer to Tam Coc
Enjoy breakfast, visit Doan Market (if Thu or Sun), kayak or raft at Cham Stream, and have lunch. Depart for Tam Coc in Ninh Binh, arriving by late afternoon. Check in to your homestay, relax, and enjoy dinner in the peaceful countryside.
Day 3: Tam Coc & Mua Cave
7:00 AM | Breakfast & Bike Ride
Ride bikes through quiet village roads to Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). Climb nearly 500 stone steps to the top of Lying Dragon Mountain for panoramic views of Tam Coc’s limestone karsts and river winding through golden rice fields.
🏯 Bich Dong Pagoda Visit
Cycle to this ancient hillside pagoda complex built into limestone cliffs, then return for lunch.
🚣♀️ Tam Coc Boat Trip
Glide along the Ngo Dong River, passing through three natural caves (First, Second, and Third Cave). Experience why Tam Coc is nicknamed “Ha Long Bay on Land.”
